HAMILTON —(Aug. 25-26)— Lambs sold $2-4 higher on Monday, ewes
steady, kids $3-5 higher and nannies steady. Receipts totaled 1902
head. All cattle classes were steady Tuesday on receipts of 650 head.
Sheep: lambs 40-60 lbs. $100-109, 60-80 lbs. $97-107, 80-100 lbs.
$92-103, over 100 lbs. $85-100; slaughter ewes $25-45; stock ewes
$70-110 per head.
Goats: slaughter meat type kids 20-40 lbs. $92-102, 40-70 lbs.
$93-103, over 70 lbs. $85-93; fleshy nannies $40-51, medium $38-44,
thin $33-41; billies $62-72; stock nanny kids 20-70 lbs. $98-160, over
70 lbs. $92-135, choice nannies $75-150 per head, medium $50-65;
billies $100-225.
Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $106-130, 300-400 lbs.
$101-119, 400-500 lbs. $95-111, 500-600 lbs. $87-101, 600-700 lbs.
