Texas Feeder Lambs Move On Firm Side
Feeder lambs on most Texas markets were on the firm side this week, some sales in San Angelo as much as $5 higher. Midwest markets were $5 higher. Slaughter lambs were mostly steady.

Fed Cattle Bids, Asking Prices Many Dollars Apart At Midweek
Plains feedlots and packers were far apart on money at midweek, the latter bidding $85-86 and the former seeking $91-92.

Texas Meat Type Slaughter Goat Price Trends Mixed This Week
Slaughter meat type goat prices were somewhat mixed this week. Goldthwaite was $2-3 lower and Junction $1-2 lower, while San Angelo prices were firm to $2 higher and Fredericksburg was firm.

Feeder Cattle Steady, Calves Mixed Across Nation Last Week
Yearling feeder cattle sold steady to firm across the country last week. Thin weaned calves and large strings of fancy calves in the Mountain states sold steady to $3 higher, but the calf market was dominated by un-weaned, fleshy newcrops, and prices for these types were steady to $4 lower.

Fed Cattle $1 Lower In South, $1 Higher In Cornbelt Trading
Slaughter cattle in the South Plains were steady to $1 lower last week while Cornbelt sales trended steady to $1 higher. Dressed basis sales were steady.

Angelo Feeder Lambs Higher, Cattle Lower
Feeder lambs sold firm to $2 higher this week, instances $3-5 higher, slaughter lambs steady, slaughter ewes firm to $1 higher, nannies firm, kids firm to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 7812 head, around 25 percent slaughter ewes, 20 percent feeder lambs, five percent slaughter lambs, and 50 percent goats.

Boxed Beef Values Lose Another $3
The national comprehensive boxed beef cutout report on all fed steers and heifers sold last week declined $2.93 to $141.49.

Fredericksburg Lambs, Goats On Firm Side
Feeder and slaughter lambs sold steady to firm, stock and slaughter goats steady to firm. Receipts totaled 2389 head.

Harper/Ochs Hereford Bulls Average $3133
The 20th annual Ochs Brothers bull sale and the 1st annual Harper bull sale sold 114˝ Hereford bulls for an average of $3133; 25 Angus bulls averaged $2560.

Billings Feeder Lamb Prices Sharply Lower
Feeder lambs sold $2-5 lower, the full decline on weights under 100 pounds, slaughter ewes $3 higher. Receipts totaled 5779 head.

Hamilton Kids, Lambs Lower, Cattle Higher
Lambs, kids, nannies and ewes all sold steady on Monday. Receipts totaled 1612 head. Sheep: lambs 40-60 lbs., $101-112, 60-80 lbs., $101-111, 80-100 lbs., $97-107, 100 lbs. and up $92-101; stock ewes $75-120 per head, slaughter ewes $30-47.

San Saba Special Sale Higher On Bred Heifers
Bred heifers sold $25-100 higher at a special replacement cattle sale, bred cows strong, open heifers fully steady, pairs active. Receipts totaled 2180 head.

Goldthwaite Lambs Firm, Slaughter Goats Lower
Slaughter lambs sold steady to firm, stock goats steady, slaughter goats $2-3 lower. Receipts totaled 1684 head.

Most Fredericksburg Feeder Cattle Steady
Feeder heifers and steers were strong, cows and bulls $5 lower. Receipts totaled 1978 head.

Decatur Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-5 higher, stocker cows and bred cows steady, slaughter cows and bulls lower. Receipts totaled 2398 head.

Brownwood Feeders Up On Lights, Heavies Off
Lightweight feeder steers and heifers traded steady to $3 higher, steers and heifers over 600 pounds steady to $3 lower, packer cows and bulls steady, stocker cows and pairs steady to $20 higher. Receipts totaled 769 head.

Producers Offers 1300 Cattle Over Internet
Producers Internet Auction offered 1300 feeder cattle, all from Florida for current through December delivery.

U.S. Meat Production 4.1% Below A Year Ago
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 903.2 million pounds, 3.7 percent less than a week earlier and 4.1 percent less than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was down .4 percent at 34.26 billion pounds.

Lampasas Feeders Steady, Cows Lower
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady with some under 400 pounds $1-2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $3-5 lower. Receipts totaled 1388 head.

Llano Steers Steady, Heifer Prices Lower
Feeder steers sold steady, heifers $1-2 lower, slaughter cows and bulls under price pressure. Receipts totaled 466 head.

Comanche Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows steady to $2 higher, slaughter bulls steady. Receipts totaled 509 head.

Abilene Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Lower
Feeder steers sold $1-2 lower, heifers $2-3 lower, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 lower, stock cows and pairs $10-20 higher. Receipts totaled 1882 head.

Most Cuero Cattle Prices Termed Lower
All represented classes of cattle sold lower, packer cows and bulls $4-6 lower. Receipts totaled 2678.

Junction Sheep, Goats Steady, Nannies Lower
Lambs sold steady to $3 higher, ewes $1-3 higher; Angoras steady, Spanish nannies $1-2 lower, Spanish kids $1-2 lower. Receipts totaled 2408 head.

Mason, San Saba Calves Higher, Yearlings Off
Stock calves sold $2 higher last week in Mason and San Saba, yearlings $1-2 lower, slaughter cows and bulls $3-6 lower, stock cows and pairs $5-10 higher. Receipts totaled 2269 at the two sales.

Milano Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher
Feeders steers under 400 pounds sold steady to $2 higher, heavier weights $2-4 lower, heifers under 400 pounds steady, heavier weights $1-3 lower, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $1 lower. Receipts totaled 1494 head.

Most Colorado City Feeder Cattle Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to stronger, pairs and bred cows $10-20 per head lower, packer cows and bulls $2-4 lower. Receipts totaled 757 head.

Domestic Wool Scarce, Aussie Wool Declines
Domestic wool trading remains seasonally slow, primarily due to limited supplies. Demand was moderate to good.
