Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in the Texas Panhandle for January delivery 60 black and black baldface steers to weigh 800 pounds at $96 and 65 heifer mates to weigh 750 at $92.50, also 200 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to weigh 750 at $94.50, and for April 200 similar heifers to weigh 700 at $3.50 back of the April futures board; in South Texas for current delivery a calf crop consisting of 75 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers weighing 640 at $98.50 and 80 heifer mates weighing 630 at $93.50; in North Texas 70 similar steers weighing 725 at $97.50.

Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in New Mexico for current delivery 200 No. 1 native steers weighing 600-625 pounds at $101, also 200 No. 1 English and exotic cross heifers weighing 725-750 at $95.

USDA reports 1550 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, all f.o.b. basis, including, for April delivery 69 medium and large No. 1 heifers to weigh 725 pounds at $83.50, for March 434 similar steers to weigh 800 at $87.50 and 134 steers to weigh 750 at $89, and for January 71 heifers to weigh 700 at $90; for current delivery 120 steers weighing 475 at $115, 83 steers weighing 600 at $95, 142 steers weighing 700-725 at $102.50-103, 64 steers weighing 775 at $103, and 62 steers weighing 800 at $100, also 87 heifers weighing 575 at $93 and 69 heifers weighing 725 at $97.75.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 2700 head. Medium and large 1-2 steers to weigh 800-900 pounds were $95-96 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon for December; for current delivery 550-600 pound steers $105 f.o.b. Idaho and Washington, 700-725 pounds $95-96 f.o.b. Washington, 500-600 pound heifers $99-100 f.o.b. Idaho and Washington, and 600-650 pounds $93-96 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon.

USDA reports 2930 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Colorado range, all for current delivery, including 290 head of medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 740 pounds at $102.50 delivered, 400 similar steers weighing 550-575 at $104-105 f.o.b., also 300 heifers weighing 500-525 at $99-100 f.o.b., and 140 heifers weighing 700 at $96 f.o.b.
