Abilene Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

ABILENE —(TDA-Nov. 4)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows $10-20 higher. Receipts totaled 1542 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $115-120, few $124-135, 300-400 lbs. $106-125, 400-500 lbs. $103-117, 500-600 lbs. $93-108, 600-700 lbs. $85-92, 700-800 lbs. $83-91; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $104-110, 300-400 lbs. $98-107, 400-500 lbs. $93-102, 500-600 lbs. $86-93, 600-700 lbs. $82-89.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $102-109, few $110-115, 400-500 lbs. $94-111, 500-600 lbs. $85-99, 600-700 lbs. $84-89, 700-800 lbs. $82-87; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $95-101, 400-500 lbs. $86-93, 500-600 lbs. $83-89, 600-700 lbs. $81-87.

Slaughter cows: breakers $38-49, boners 1200-1600 lbs. $37.50-44, 1000-1200 lbs. $40-48.50, lean 800-1000 lbs. $37.50-41.50, under 800 lbs. $28-34; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1500-2100 lbs. $52-61.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 900-1550 lbs. 2-8 months bred $550-790 per head.
