Abilene Feeder Steer,
Heifer Trends Higher  

            ABILENE —(TDA-Jan. 13)— Feeder steers sold $2-3 higher, plain kinds off $1, heifers $3-5 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 920 head.

            Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $115-120, few $122-150, 300-400 lbs. $109-126, 400-500 lbs. $96-120, 500-600 lbs. $89-106, 600-700 lbs. $84.50-94.50, 700-800 lbs. $81.50-87.50; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $95-101, 500-600 lbs. $81.50-99, 600-700 lbs. $78-93.50, 700-800 lbs. $74-80.50.

            Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $104-109, few to $111, 400-500 lbs. $91-106, 500-600 lbs. $85-104.50, 600-700 lbs. $81-94, 700-800 lbs. $79.50-83.50; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $94-102, 400-500 lbs. $85-91, 500-600 lbs. $81-89.50, 600-700 lbs. $76-83.50.

            Slaughter cows: breakers $42-45.50, high dressing boners $45.50-53.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $41.50-49.50, 800-1000 lbs. $36.50-41; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $52-65.

            Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 800-1350 lbs. 2-7 months bred $510-780 per head, aged 1050-1500 lbs. 4-8 months bred $475-700.
