Angelo Lambs Higher,
Goats, Cattle Lower  

SAN ANGELO —(USDA)— Feeder lambs were not well tested this week, slaughter lambs $1-2 higher, slaughter ewes steady to $3 lower; nannies sold weak to $2 lower and kids weak to $5 lower. Receipts totaled 10,014 head, around 20 percent slaughter ewes, 10 percent slaughter lambs, five percent feeder lambs and 65 percent goats.

No price trend was reported on cattle trading last week for lack of a recent comparison. A lower undertone was noted on feeders, a firm undertone on slaughter cows and bulls. Receipts totaled 748 head, around 65 percent feeders, 25 percent slaughter cows and bulls and 10 percent stock cows and pairs.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 70 lbs. $126, 80-90 lbs. $120-124, 153 head 103 lbs. $107.50.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 100-125 lbs. $93.50-102, few $102-105, 140-145 lbs. $91.50-93.50, good and choice 1-2 60-70 lbs. $120-123, 70-80 lbs. $118-124, few $130-130.50, 80-90 lbs. $115-124, 90-105 lbs. $107-110, few $115-119: good 2-3 slaughter ewes $41-50, utility and good 1-3 $49.50-51.50, utility 1-2 $40-51, cull and utility 1-2 $32.50-40, bucks $40-51.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth to solidmouth $67-82.50 per head.
