Comanche Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher  

            COMANCHE, Texas —(Jan. 24)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $4 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 837 head.

            Steers: medium and large No. 1 under 300 lbs. $125-165, 300-400 lbs. $115-124, 400-500 lbs. $105-112, 500-600 lbs. $100-106, 600-700 lbs. $92-96, over 700 lbs. $90-93; medium and large No. 2 under 300 lbs. $115-120, 300-400 lbs. $110-115, 400-500 lbs. $100-105, 500-600 lbs. $95-98, 600-700 lbs. $85-90, over 700 lbs. $82-88.

            Heifers: medium and large No. 1 under 300 lbs. $115-135, 300-400 lbs. $102-108, 400-500 lbs. $95-100, 500-600 lbs. $90-94, 600-700 lbs. $85-90, over 700 lbs. $84-88; medium and large No. 2 under 300 lbs. $105-112, 300-400 lbs. $95-100, 400-500 lbs. $92-95, 500-600 lbs. $85-90, 600-700 lbs. $80-84, over 700 lbs. $72-75.

            Slaughter cows: utility $44-48, high dressing $50, cutter $43-49, canner $30-38; bulls $54-58, high dressing $62; good bred stock cows $675-780 per head, plain $450-600; good cows with calves $850-1025 per pair, plain $600-800.
