Lampasas Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

LAMPASAS —(TDA-March 3)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $3-5 higher, slaughter cows $1-2 lower, bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 566 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $129-139, few 200-205 lbs. $140-160, 300-400 lbs. $127-135, 400-500 lbs. $124-135, 500-600 lbs. $107-115, 600-700 lbs. $98-105, 700-800 lbs. $89-94; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $118-127, 300-400 lbs. $117.50-126, 400-500 lbs. $112-123, 500-600 lbs. $l98-105, 600-700 lbs. $85-96, 700-800 lbs. $81-88.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $127-130, 300-400 lbs. $115-124, 400-500 lbs. $108-115, 500-600 lbs. $102-108, 600-700 lbs. $89-96; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $112-117, 300-400 lbs. $108-114, 400-500 lbs. $100-106, 500-600 lbs. $98-101, 600-700 lbs. $81-88, 700-800 lbs. $79-85.

Slaughter cows: breakers $41-43, boners $42.50-45, high dressing $45-50, lean 1200-1600 lbs. $45-45.50, 1000-1200 lbs. $41.50-44, 800-1000 lbs. $38.50-40.50, under 800 lbs. $30.50-34; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $61-65.50, 1000-1300 lbs. $58-59.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1100-1200 lbs. 5-8 months bred $625-710 per head, aged 800-1050 lbs. 2-7 months bred $450-585; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1300-1350 lb. cows with 125-250 lb. calves $920-1030 per pair, aged 800-1100 lb. cows with baby to 140 lb. calves $800-900.
