Milano Calves Higher,
Yearlings Up Sharply

MILANO —(TDA-March 9)— Feeder steer and heifer calves sold $2-3 higher, yearlings $6-8 higher, some steers $10 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 higher, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 427 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $127.50-132.50, 400-500 lbs. $120-127.50, 500-600 lbs. $109-117, 600-700 lbs. $96-101, 700-800 lbs. $90-93; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $120-125, 400-500 lbs. $110-120, 500-600 lbs. $98-107, 600-700 lbs. $92-95, 700-800 lbs. $88-89.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $125-127.50, 300-400 lbs. $117.50-120, 400-500 lbs. $107-115, 500-600 lbs. $104-112, 600-700 lbs. $93-100; medium and large No. 2 200-300 lbs. $120-122.50, 300-400 lbs. $107-115, 400-500 lbs. $103-110, 500-600 lbs. $96-99, 600-700 lbs. $86-91.

Slaughter cows: boners $44-47.50, high dressing $48-50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $39.50-46.50, 800-1000 lbs. $43.50-46; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1500-2100 lbs. $57-60.50, high dressing $62.50-63.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 middleaged 1000-1100 lbs. 4-6 months bred $510-590 per head, fancy young 1260 lbs. eight months bred $710.
