Feeder steer and heifer calves and yearlings sold steady to strong last week, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs $25-50 higher. Receipts totaled 607 head at the two sales. Steers: choice lightweight calves $120-140, mediumweight $105-138, heavyweight $94-105; lightweight yearlings $88-99, heavyweight $80-84. Heifers: choice lightweight calves $110-135, mediumweight $100-120, heavyweight $88-99; lightweight yearlings $80-94, heavyweight $75-84. Slaughter cows: high dressing $47-52, medium $44-46, low $38-40; high dressing bulls $63-67, medium $59-62, low $55-58; heiferettes and young stock cows $50-70; choice bred cows $750-900 per head, medium to good $660-740, aged $560-650; choice cows with calves $860-900 per pair, medium to good $810-850, aged $700-800.
