Lampasas Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

LAMPASAS —(TDA-March 17)— Feeder steers sold steady to $1 higher, heifers $2-3 higher, slaughter cows $2-3 lower, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 502 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $135-137, 300-400 lbs. $135-141, 400-500 lbs. $129-132, 500-600 lbs. $114-121, 600-700 lbs. $99-107; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $126-134, 400-500 lbs. $119-126, 500-600 lbs. $105-113, 600-800 lbs. $88-97.50.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 195 lbs. $150, 200 lbs. $142, 220-260 lbs. $128-138, 300-400 lbs. $122-131, 400-500 lbs. $114-121, 500-600 lbs. $105-112, 600-700 lbs. $99-105; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $115-120, 400-500 lbs. $105-112, 500-600 lbs. $98-103, 600-700 lbs. $89-97.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $41.50-43, boners $42-45.50, high dressing $46-49, lean 1200-1600 lbs. $45.50-47, 1000-1200 lbs. $40.50-45, 800-1000 lbs. $38.50-41.50, under 800 lbs. $30.50-35; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $62.50-57, 1000-1300 lbs. $56-61.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1200-1350 lbs. 5-8 months bred $725-795 per head, aged 1000-1200 lbs. 2-7 months bred $600-710; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1500-1600 lb. cows with 150-250 lb. calves $920-1000 per pair, aged 1100-1400 lb. cows with baby to 150 lb. calves $730-900.
