Most Lampasas Cattle
Prices Called Higher

LAMPASAS —(TDA-April 14)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-3 higher, slaughter cows $3-4 higher and bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 810 head.

Steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $134.50-140, 300-400 lbs. $129-136, 400-500 lbs. $122-128, 500-600 lbs. $112-120, 600-700 lbs. $99-110; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $121-128, 400-500 lbs. $114-120, 500-600 lbs. 105-111, 600-700 lbs. $89-97, 700-800 lbs. $83-91.50.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 165-170 lbs. $148-152, 200-300 lbs. $125-135, 300-400 lbs. $119-128, 400-500 lbs. $112-120, 500-600 lbs. $108-112, 600-700 lbs. $96-106; medium and large No. 2 300-400 lbs. $113-118, 400-500 lbs. $104-109, 500-600 lbs. $99-106, 600-700 lbs. $85-94, 700-800 lbs. $83.50-91.

Slaughter cows: breakers $43-46.50, boners $44-48.50, high dressing $50.50-55, lean 1200-1600 lbs. $49-51.50, 1000-1200 lbs. $44-49, 800-1000 lbs. $42.50-46.50, under 800 lbs. $36-39.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $65-67, 1000-1300 lbs. $62.50-64.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1200-1450 lbs. 5-8 months bred $710-800 per head, aged 900-1150 lbs. 2-7 months bred $495-700; medium and large 1-2 young and middleaged 1400-1550 lb. cows with 150-300 lb. calves $960-1180 per pair, aged 1000-1300 lb. cows with baby to 175 lb. calves $810-975.
