Feeder Lambs Steady, Fats Show Strength 
Feeder and fat lambs were about steady this week. The feeder supply remains short and there is considerable competition from killers, though lightweight slaughter lambs were $5-7 lower in some areas.

Feeder lambs sold firm this week, slaughter lambs steady, slaughter ewes firm, kids firm to $3 higher and nannies steady.  Receipts totaled 7161 head, around 20 percent feeder lambs, 15 percent slaughter lambs, 15 percent slaughter ewes and 50 percent goats.

Most Graham Yearlings Steady, Calves Higher 
Feeder steer calves sold $2-4 higher, yearlings steady, heifer calves $2-5 higher, yearlings steady to firm, slaughter cows and bulls $2-5 higher, stock cows and pairs $100-150 higher. Receipts totaled 1435 head.

Salina Feeder Steer, Heifer Yearlings Off 
Feeder steers weighing 500-700 pounds were steady to $1 higher, 700-800 pounds $3-4 lower, 800-950 pounds $1 lower, heifers 400-650 pounds steady to $1 lower, 650-900 pounds $1-2 lower. Receipts totaled 2665 head.

Emory Feeder Steers, Heifers Sell Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers were unevenly steady, slaughter cows $1-4 higher, bulls unevenly steady. Receipts totaled 930 head.

Milano Feeder Steers Mixed, Heifers Steady 
Feeder steer calves sold steady to $2 higher, yearlings $1-3 lower, heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 521 head.

Cleburne Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher 
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-4 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-4 higher. Receipts totaled 491 head.

Mason, San Saba Feeder Steers, Heifers Mixed 
Feeder steer and heifer yearlings sold steady last week in Mason and San Saba, calves $3-5 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $3 higher. Receipts totaled 1637 head at the two sales.

Most Comanche Feeder Cattle Prices Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows $1-3 higher, bulls $2-4 higher. Receipts totaled 461 head.

Llano Feeder Cattle Market Called Active 
Feeder steers and heifers were active, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 174 head.

Tulia Feeder Steers, Heifers Sell Higher 
Feeder steers under 700 pounds sold steady to $3 higher, heavier weights mostly steady, heifers steady to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 2799 head.

Abilene Feeder Steers Higher, Heifers Firm 
Feeder steers sold $1-4 higher, the greatest advance on weights under 500 pounds, heifers steady to firm, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 higher, stock cows steady to $1 higher. Receipts totaled 955 head.

Haskell CalF Prices Steady, Yearlings Off 
Feeder steer and heifer calves sold steady, yearlings $2-3 lower, slaughter cows and bulls $2-4 higher. Receipts totaled 410 head.

Junction Sheep, Goat, Cattle Prices Steady 
All sheep and goats sold steady on Monday on receipts of 1209 head. All cattle sold steady on a light run Tuesday.

Hamilton Sheep Higher, Goats, Cattle Steady 
Goats sold steady Monday, sheep higher. Receipts totaled 1695 head. All cattle sold steady Tuesday on receipts of 456 head.

Brownwood Feeder Calf, Yearling Prices Steady 
Feeder steer and heifer calves and yearlings sold steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $2 lower, stock cows steady. Receipts totaled 290 head.

Bradley 3 Ranch Angus Sale Averages $3312 
The 2005 Bradley 3 Ranch sale offered 181 Angus breeding cattle that averaged $3312 per head.

U.S. Meat Production .3% Below A Year Ago 
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 849 million pounds, .3 percent higher than a week earlier and .3 percent less than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was down 4.5 percent at 5.12 million pounds.

Lampasas Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher 
Feeder steers and heifers sold $3-6 higher, slaughter cows $3-5 higher. Receipts totaled 679 head.

Athens Feeder Steers Higher, Heifers Down 
Feeder steers sold $2-3 higher, heifers $2-3 lower, slaughter cows $2-6 higher, bulls $3-7 higher. Receipts totaled 1017 head.

Goldthwaite Lambs Mixed, Goats Steady 
Feeder lambs sold steady, slaughter lambs $5-10 higher, lightweight $5-7 lower, slaughter goats steady. Receipts totaled 1710 head.
