Fat, Feeder Lambs Mixed, Meat Lower 
Feeder lambs remain in very short supply and prices were steady to $5 higher. Fat lambs were steady to $4 higher, lightweights unevenly $3-12 higher to $8-10 lower.

Superior Livestock Video Sale Offering Totals 39,000 Cattle 
Super Livestock Auction offered more than 39,000 stocker, feeder, and bred cattle from 26 states in their regularly scheduled sale. Demand was termed good and trade active on all classes. Yearling steers were $2-3 higher and heifers steady. Calves on cows were steady and weaned calves $2-5 higher, $7-10 higher on lightweights.

Feeder Calves And Yearlings Higher, Volume Good Last Week 
Compared to two weeks ago, feeder and stocker cattle sold steady to $3 higher across the country, the full advance realized in the Midwest and in the Northern Plains, where farmer-feeders have fully entered the market.

Direct Fed Cattle Up In Friday Movement 
Slaughter steers and heifers traded $2-3 higher live and $5 higher dressed on the Northern Plains Wednesday as weather was a factor in the North. Trading just got underway Friday morning in the Southern Plains at $1 over the previous week.

Angelo Feeder Lambs Steady, Cattle Mixed 
Feeder lambs sold steady this week, slaughter lambs firm to $2 higher except lightweights $3-10 higher, slaughter ewes firm, kid goats $10 lower and nannies steady. Receipts totaled 8075 head, around 15 percent feeder lambs, 15 percent slaughter lambs, 15 percent slaughter ewes and 55 percent goats.

Cleburne Yearlings, Calves Trade Steady 
Feeder steer and heifer calves and yearlings sold steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 921 head.

Junction Sheep, Goat Prices Called Steady 
All sheep and goat classes sold steady on receipts of 2431 head.

Mason, San Saba Calf, Yearling Trends Rise 
Stocker steer and heifer calves sold $1-2 higher last week in Mason and San Saba, yearling steers $2-3 higher, heifers $3-5 higher, slaughter cows $2 higher and bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 2082 head.

Boxed Beef Values Suffer Some Decline 
The national comprehensive boxed beef cutout report on all fed steers and heifers sold last week lost $1.31 to $145.71. All grades moved lower with branded and ungraded off $1-1.20; Prime and Choice held up the best, losing only 30-55 cents. Primal rib gained $3.80 while loin lost $3.40. Rib was at its highest level since early June 2004.

Beeville Offers No Price Comparison 
No comparison of cattle price trends was available due to holiday closing the previous  week. Receipts totaled 1827 head.

Buffalo Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher 
Feeder steers weighing 300-500 pounds sold $2-4 higher, 500-700 pounds $1-2 higher, heifers steady, instances $1-2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1657 head.

Oct. 22 Meat Imports At 28,470 Metric Tons 
The total amount of imported meat and poultry passed for entry into the U.S. the week ending October 22 was 28,470 metric tons, 14 percent less than a year ago. The following figures are in metric tons.

Goldthwaite Lambs, Goats Trade Higher 
Slaughter lambs sold 2-4 higher, lightweights $10-12 higher, slaughter goats $3-5 higher, stock and feeder goats $3-5 higher. Receipts totaled 3720 head.

Edinburg Feeder Steer, Heifer Trends Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 730 head.

Graham Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Firm 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to firm, slaughter cows and bulls steady to firm. Receipts totaled 1880 head.

San Saba Replacement Cattle On Strong Side 
Trade was on the strong side for all classes of replacement female cattle. Most three-in-one pairs brought $1100-1500, long bred cows $1000-1250, bred heifers $1050-1550 and open heifers $650-870. Receipts totaled 3167 head.

Most Coleman Cattle Prices Called Higher 
Feeder steers sold $3-5 higher, heifers $1-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-4 higher. Receipts totaled 2076 head.

Fredericksburg Lambs Mixed, Goats Lower 
Feeder lambs sold $3-5 higher, slaughter lambs steady except lightweights $8-10 lower, stock and feeder goats $3-5 lower, slaughter goats $12-15 lower. Receipts totaled 2535 head.

Kansas Direct Steers Higher, Heifers Hold 
Feeder steers sold firm to $1 higher in Kansas direct trade last week, heifers steady on a light test. Sales were confirmed on 7758 head. The weather was cold most of the week with light moisture and very high winds.

Brownwood Yearlings Higher, Calves Mixed 
Feeder steer and heifer yearlings sold $2-3 higher, steer calves $2-3 lower, heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 lower.

Most Industry Steers, Heifers Trade Higher 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 lower. Receipts totaled 1467 head.

Producers Internet Offers 1400 Cattle 
Producers Internet Auction offered 1400 feeder cattle in their regularly scheduled sale. Consignments were from Florida, Alabama and Mississippi, delivery current through January.

Hallettsville Calves Steady, Yearlings Off
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 lower, calves fully steady, slaughter cows and bulls $2 lower. Receipts totaled 2799 head.

U.S. Meat Production 4.1% Above A Year Ago 
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 912.9 million pounds, 13 percent more than the previous week’s holiday-shortened period and 4.1 percent more than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was up .3 percent at 41.66 billion pounds.

Hamilton Cattle Mixed, Lambs Off, Kids Steady 
Lambs sold steady to $2 lower, kids steady and nannies $5 higher on Monday. Receipts totaled 1630 head. Steer calves sold steady to $5 lower Tuesday, yearlings steady to $5 higher, heifers steady, and slaughter cows $2-4 lower. Receipts totaled 400 head.

Crockett Feeder Steers, Heifers On Strong Side 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to firm except 500 pound steers $1-2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1-2 lower. Receipts totaled 2309 head.

Llano Feeder Steers, Heifers Trade Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows $2 lower, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 747 head.

Milano Feeder Steer, Heifer Trends Mixed 
Feeder steers under 500 pounds sold steady, heavier weights $1-3 higher, heifers under 400 pounds steady, heavier weights $1-2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 847 head.

Texas Direct Feeder Cattle Prices Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers moving direct in Texas sold steady on a limited test of yearlings. Feedlots are generally full and not as aggressive on the current supply of yearlings despite recently increased values for finished cattle.

Fredericksburg Cattle Prices Termed Higher 
Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-2 higher, steers over 600 pounds $3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1 higher. Receipts totaled 2707 head.

Comanche Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows steady to $2 higher, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 667 head.

Lampasas Offers No Price Comparison         
No price comparison was available due to the holiday closing the previous week. Receipts totaled 1114 head.

Domestic Wool Slow, Undertone Is Lower 
Domestic wool trading remained slow last week, though it was slightly improved from recent weeks.

Tulia Feeder Steers Higher, Heifers Steady 
Feeder steers under 800 pounds sold steady to $1 higher, 800-900 pounds $3-4 higher, heifers mostly steady, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 lower on a limited test. Receipts totaled 3931 head.

Haskell Feeder Calves Steady, Yearlings Up 
Feeder steer and heifer yearlings sold $1-2 higher, calves steady, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 847 head.

Three Rivers Feeder Cattle Prices Steady 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows steady to firm, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1829 head.
