Angelo Lamb Prices
Take Sharp Decline

SAN ANGELO — Compared with the last sale two weeks ago, feeder lambs sold $3-5 lower in a light test this week, and slaughter lambs were untested. Slaughter ewes made up well over 50 percent of the run and sold firm. Two day receipts totaled 20,206 head.

There was no cattle sale last week in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 60-90 lbs. $90-97, few $98-100, medium and large No. 2 40-90 lbs. $80-90.

Slaughter ewes: good and choice 2-4 $35-41, few $42-45, utility and good 2-3 $33-41, few $43-44, utility 1-2 $22-32, cull and utility 1-2 $15-22; bucks $30-39.50.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth to solidmouth $53.50-65 per head.

Goats: billy and mutton slaughter meat goats 100-160 lbs. $45-87.50 per head, good and choice 60-100 lbs., including yearlings $63-67 cwt., good $50-58; nannies 60-100 lbs. $35-46, thin 60-85 lbs. $25-33; good and choice kids 40-65 lbs. $62-69, good 40-65 lbs. $50-59; weights 25-40 lbs. $14-25 per head; 60-90 lb. Angora billies and muttons $35-43.50 cwt., few 50-52, nannies 50-75 lbs. $14-25, kids 40-50 lbs. $59.
