Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Oklahoma for August delivery 65 No. 1 Okie steers to weigh 850 pounds at $60; for current delivery in Oklahoma one load of No. 1 Okie steers weighing 750 at $61.50, 65 head of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 800 at $61 and a load of No. 1 Okie steers weighing 850 at $60; in West Texas 65 No. 1 black steers weighing 775 at $62.75.

Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in the Flinthills of Kansas 200 No. 1 Okie steers to weigh 750 pounds at $61.50 for late July delivery, also 140 No. 1 Okie and crossbred steers to weigh 800-825 at $61.

USDA reports 13,235 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for August through October delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 730-775 pounds at $60.50-61.50, also 800-825 pounds at $59.75-62, mostly $60.50-61; for similar delivery medium and large 1-2 steers to weigh 750-850 at $58-59, and for September through October similar heifers to weigh 700-725 at $54-56; for August medium and large No. 1 heifers to weigh 700-750 at $57.50-58; for current delivery similar steers weighing 750-775 at $60-62, also 800-825 pounds $60-62, and 900-925 pounds $60-60.50; similar heifers weighing 625 at $55, and 700-825 pounds $57-58.50; for current delivery medium and large No. 2 steers weighing 600 at $54, and medium and large 1-2 heifers weighing 600 at $52, also 700-725 pounds at $55-56.

Direct feeder cattle trading in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 2900 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 800-900 pounds brought $59 to mostly $60 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon; similar heifers in the same area weighing 800 were $57.
