JB Cattle Co., Abilene, sold on a delivered basis to Oklahoma wheat one load of No. 1 or better Okie steers weighing 511 pounds at $64.50; to Kansas wheat one load of No. 1-1½ Okie and Brahman cross steers and bulls weighing 514 at $62.50, also a load of No. 1 and better Okie heifers weighing 448 at $56; to Oklahoma grass a load of No. 1 Okie cows, 4-6 years old and 4-6 months bred, weighing 1013 at $445 per head; to a West Texas feedyard a load of No. 1 Okie feeder heifers weighing 664 at $52.40 f.o.b. USDA reports 5745 head of feeder cattle selling off Oklahoma range, including: for April through May 1997 delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750-800 pounds at $63.80-64.70, for February through March similar type steers to weigh 750 at $63-63.35, and for December through January steers to weigh 750-800 at $62.50-63; for current delivery steers weighing 725-775 at $62.25-63, also 825-875 pounds at $61-63; similar heifers weighing 650 at $56.50 and 700-800 pounds at $58.25-59. Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 2500 head. Medium and large No. 1 heifers weighing 800-850 pounds brought $57 f.o.b. Washington for December delivery; for November steers weighing 500-650 pounds at $56-59 f.o.b. Idaho, Washington and Oregon, also 725-850 pounds $57.50-60.50 f.o.b. Washington and Idaho; similar heifers weighing 500-600 pounds were $50-53 f.o.b.Oregon and Idaho, and 750-850 pounds $55-56.50 f.o.b. Washington. |
