JB Cattle Co., Abilene, sold on a delivered basis to Oklahoma wheat one load of No. 1 or better Okie steers with a few bulls, weighing 510 pounds at $64.40; to Kansas wheat one load of No. 1-1½ crossbred steers and bulls weighing 514 at $62.20; to Oklahoma grass a load of No. 1 Okie English breed cows, 4-6 years old and bred 4-6 months, at $445 per head; to a West Texas feedyard a load of No. 1 Okie feeder heifers weighing 683 at $52.30 f.o.b.

Stiles Cattle Co., Cuero, bought in the local area one load of No. 1 brindle whiteface replacement heifers weighing 502 pounds at $68.40; one load of quarter to halfblood No. 1 steers and bulls weighing 459 at $64.53; five loads of similar steers and bulls weighing 460 at $63.20; one load of similar steers and bulls weighing 462 at $60.84; two loads of No. 1 exotic cross steers and bulls weighing 500 at $60.20; one load of similar feeder heifers weighing 308 at $60.79; a load of No. 1 Brangus replacement heifers weighing 592 at $59.50; a load of No. 1-1½ quarter to halfblood steers and bulls weighing 532 at $56.40; a load of No. 1 quarter to halfblood replacement heifers, all colors, weighing 554 at $55.65; a load of No. 1 exotic cross feeder heifers weighing 506 at $54.02; a load of similar heifers weighing 522 at $53.60; a load weighing 508 at $53.05; a load weighing 521 at $53.42; a load weighing 512 at $52.17; a load weighing 430 at $52.10.

USDA reports 5010 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for March through May delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750-800 pounds at $62.50-64.50; for February similar steers to weigh $62.50; for February through March similar heifers to weigh 650 at $57 and 700 pounds at $60; for December through January similar steers to weigh 800-825 at $64-65; for current delivery steers weighing 550 at $61, bull calves weighing 550 pounds at $57, and 725-775 pound steers at $62.50-65, plus 800-825 pounds at $62.50-63.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 1550 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 575-600 pounds brought $58-62 f.o.b. Oregon, 700-800 pounds $58-60 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon, and 800-900 pounds $58-59.50 f.o.b. Washington and Oregon; similar heifers weighing 500-550 pounds were $53-58 f.o.b. Oregon, 675 pound yearlings $55 f.o.b. Washington, and 800-850 pounds $56-57.
