Cattle Prices Higher

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold firm to $1 higher this week, slaughter lambs were steady, slaughter ewes firm to $2 higher. Trading was active and demand good on receipts of 10,634.

Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-2 higher last week, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Stock cows and pairs were steady. Receipts totaled 9104 head including 5302 calves at Monday’s feeder sale.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $95-100, 60-80 lbs. $90-97, 80-95 lbs. $85-90; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $85-95, 60-80 lbs. $80-90, 80-95 lbs. $75-85.

Slaughter lambs: choice and prime 2-3 100-130 lbs. $77-82; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $35-43, utility and good 2-3 $40-48, utility 1-2 $30-40, cull and utility 1-2 $23-30; bucks $35-44.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth to solidmouth $60-66 per head.
