C.S. Lips of San Antonio has sold 450 stocker Hereford cows off his ranch near Falfurrias to Maurice Cohen of San Antonio at 22 cents a pounds for immediate delivery.

Paul Harden of Ashland, Kansas, bought a load of steer yearlings averaging 525 pounds this week at 35 cents a pound through Augustine Livestock Commission Company, Texhoma, Oklahoma.

Robert Alexander, Jr., of Gruver, Texas, sold 115 steer yearlings weighing 800 pounds to Cline Cattle Company of Amarillo at 33 cents per pound.

H.P. King of Ima, New Mexico, last week sold through the Clovis Cattle Commission Company 30 Angus heifer calves which averaged 359 pounds at 42 cents a pound.

Walton Kothmann of Menard last week shipped three loads of mutton lambs which he had bought for Nebraska feeders at 26 cents a pound; they averaged 71 pounds.

Carroll Lewis of Clarendon, Texas, and O.O. Turner of Altus, Okla., recently bought and received 604 heifer yearlings averaging about 575 pounds at $15.35 from George Ray of Roy, N.M. They also bought, from Ray, 79 medium quality steer yearlings weighing 555 pounds at $15.50.

John Blanton of Pershing, Okla. sold two loads of fed steers weighing 940 pounds and delivered them the first of this week at $19 to Armour & Co., Oklahoma, City.

Marshall Cator of Sunray, Texas, is reported to have sold about 900 steers averaging about 800 pounds at $17.50 and delivered them last week to Fred Hill of Phoenix.

In northern Wyoming, 1800 wether lambs recently turned off beet tops sold to go into feedlots last week at $17.35, the USDA reported; also, 1000 whiteface ewe lambs in the same area brought $19.25 cwt.

Cattle on farms in Argentina numbered 43.4 million head on June 30 this year, or five percent more than a year earlier, according to the annual survey there.

Gooch Feedlots at Dalhart sold a load of fed heifers weighing 850 at $23.50 to Pinkney Packing Co., Amarillo.

Bill Beatty of Amarillo sold 92 heifer and steer calves weighing 430 and 476 at $26 and $28, delivered to Melvin Barton of Dimmitt, through Ray Barber of Amarillo.

Morrison Bros., Pampa, bought 300 stocker cows, four and five year-olds and weighing 1000-1100 pounds, at $215 per head from Buck Cone, Amarillo.

Alex Inman of Reydon, Okla., sold and delivered 120 mixed calves weighing 350 pounds at $29 straight across to Bob Sherrod of McLean, Texas.

The U.S. Weather Bureau’s weekly crop summary reported the corn crop only 50 percent harvested in Kansas and Missouri as of last weekend, and harvesting was at a standstill because of muddy fields.

Jim McAndrews of Hereford sold 170 heifers weighing 850 pounds and grading about 65 percent choice at $23.50 to a Texas Panhandle packer.

Jerrel Gann of Guymon, Okla., bought 190 fed steers in the Oklahoma Panhandle at $24 on packer order. They weighed 1100 pounds and graded 65 percent choice.

The Diedrichsen feedlots at Dumas sold 120 good and choice heifers weighing 825 pounds at $23.50 to a Texas packer.

Texline Feedlots at Texline, Texas, sold 90 steers grading 80 percent choice and weighing 1096 pounds at $243 to a Texas packer.

Homer Hill of Hart, Texas, bought 53 Hereford steer yearlings weighing about 700 pounds in the Logan, N.M. area at $23.

J.B. Kimble Jr. of Clayton, N.M., sold 98 Angus and black baldface steer yearlings weighing 776 pounds at $24.40 to an Illinois feeder.

Epps Brown, Sunray, Texas, bought from the CS Ranch, Cimarron, N.M., 225 Hereford 6-7 year-old cows weighing around 1000 pounds at $225.
