cattle business since 1909 when lawyer J.C. Swift and
cattleman Charles D. Henry opened their offices in the
Exchange building at the Kansas City Stockyards. At the

$3-5 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-4 higher, stock
cows and pairs $50-100 higher. Receipts totaled 1470
head.

Stock Angora nannies were $3-5 higher, slaughter
classes $1-3 higher; stock Spanish nannies $4-6 higher,
slaughter nannies $3-5 higher, other classes fully
steady. Sheep were practically absent.

Saba, Mason Cattle Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to strong in
Mason, Brownwood and San Saba last week, slaughter cows
$2-4 higher, bulls $3-5 higher. Good rains in the area
held receipts at the three sales to only 1108 head.

Steer, Heifer Prices Firm
Feeder steers and heifers sold firm, slaughter
cows steady to firm. Receipts totaled 115 head.
Most Llano Cattle
Prices Moved Higher
Feeder steers sold $2-5 higher, heifers $3-6 higher,
slaughter cows and bulls $5-7 higher. Receipts totaled
240 head.
Most Colorado
City Cattle Prices Higher
Feeder steers and heifers under 600 pounds sold
$3-7 higher, steers over 600 pounds steady to $4 higher,
heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls $3-4 higher,
bred stock cows $25-50 higher, pairs $20 higher.
Cuero Cattle
Price Trend Holds Strong
Trading was active and prices moved higher as demand
continued strong. Receipts totaled 750 head.

Goats Mostly Higher
Feeder and slaughter lambs sold $3-5 higher,
slaughter ewes and bucks steady; stock Spanish nannies
$2-4 higher, slaughter kids and yearlings $3-6 higher,
slaughter classes fully steady; slaughter Angoras fully
steady.

Feeder steers and heifers sold strong to $2
higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2 higher, stock cows
$25 higher. Receipts totaled 315 head.

Feeder Cattle Trade Steady
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter
cows and bulls $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 407 head.
