ASU To Host Field
Day October 17

SAN ANGELO — Angelo State University’s Agriculture Department will host a beef cattle field day Friday, Oct. 17 at ASU’s Management, Instruction and Research Center five miles north of San Angelo on Hwy. 87.

Topics to be discussed include the TEX-VAC program, retained ownership of feeder calves, management during uncertain times in the beef cattle industry, and reproductive diseases in beef cattle. Mark McLaughlin, vice president of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, will also discuss issues facing the cattle industry.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program at 9 a.m. A registered Angus bull sale will follow the noon meal.
