Tobe Foster of Lubbock last Friday bought 850 ewes, of Debouillet breeding and aged from yearlings to five year-olds, from the A.D. Jones Estate of Tatum, New Mexico, at $15 each.

Z.A. McCasland of Clovis bought 170 Angus-Hereford crossbred mixed calves estimated to weigh around 300 pounds from Myron Jones of Clovis at 23 cents per pound.

Frank Goodrum of Roswell, New Mexico, last week sold around 1500 mixed whiteface feeder lambs to George Hibbard, Roswell buyer for Franklin Bond and Company of Albuquerque, at 19 cents a pound.

John Beasley of Clayton, New Mexico, sold 95 steer yearlings weighing 697 pounds to George Fulcher of Iowa at $25.50.

Marcus Auld of Mountain Home last week delivered 530 feeder lambs weighing 65 pounds to Vestel Askew of Sonora at 17 cents a pound.

Lawrence Hagy of Amarillo sold 225 choice quality steer calves weighing about 400 pounds for delivery this week to Foster Pickett, Amarillo, at $26.50.

Lee Merrill of Clovis sold about 200 choice and fancy Hereford steer calves off his ranch near Branson, Colo., at $27.50 cwt. for Oct.27 delivery to Ohio club calf feeders.

Cy Strong of Bois City, Okla., sold 150 choice quality steer calves estimated to weigh about 400 pounds at $26 for Nov. 1-5 delivery to K.W. Stinford of Kim, Colo.

Otho Drake of San Angelo this week delivered 1200 feeder lambs for Dennis Bros., who ranch in Borden County, at $20 cwt. They averaged 75 pounds and went to Kansas.

Grover Swift of Miles City, Mont. sold 398 good and choice heifer yearlings averaging 697 pounds at $20.50.

Herman Carter of Mid-West Feed Yards, San Angelo, received 1342 whiteface feeder lambs averaging 83.5 pounds at $15.75 from the J.T. Davis Estate, Sterling City.

Jack Chapman of Las Vegas, N.M., sold 140 steer yearlings averaging 704 pounds at $24.75 to Paul Rodman of Clovis.

A survey by the Arizona Cattle Feeders Assn. showed that on Oct. 4 this year there were 243,029 cattle and calves on feed in Arizona feedlots compared with 237,581 a week earlier. A year ago there were 169,641 head in 40 feedlots.

Bill Wallace of Amarillo bought for Supreme Beef Co., Lubbock, 276 fed heifers weighing 925 at $26 f.o.b. feedlots from Walter Lasley, Stratford.

Del Rio Wool & Mohair Co. sold 90,000 pounds of adult mohair at $2.642 and 10,000 pounds of yearling at $3.451.

Ted Gray, Alpine, bought off 10 ranches in the Davis Mountain area of West Texas for shipment to Midwest feeders more than 3000 mixed calves and yearlings, mostly Herefords with a few crossbreds, the calves weighing about 440 and 465 pounds at $34-38 and $40-44, the yearlings weighing 640 and 680 at $34-35 and $38-39.
