BIG LAKE — A field tour set for Tuesday, October 21 will showcase current research in reclaiming oilfield damaged sites. The program starts with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Reagan County Extension Center located on N. Ohio Street behind the football field in Big Lake. Participants will travel to several different sites where ongoing research is being conducted on reseeding various grass and browse species like fourwing saltbush. They will also view revegetation work on a caliche pit, drilling pads and salt or brine spill sites.
