Rancher Conference

SAN ANGELO — Adding value to beef cattle is the theme of this year’s West Texas Ranchers Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the San Angelo fairgrounds.

The conference is sponsored by the county Extension offices in Tom Green, Runnels, Irion, Coke, Sterling, Schleicher and Concho counties. The program will feature discussions on stocking rate adjustment, parasite management, and adding value to calves. Live animal demonstrations will deal with bull selection and cattle handling and psychology. A computer technology in agriculture workshop will follow the program for anyone interested.

There will be a $10 registration fee until November 3 and $15 at the door. More information is available from the Tom Green County Extension office at (915)659-6523.
