Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in New Mexico for November delivery 10 loads of No. 1 Okie steers to weigh 750 pounds at $77; in the Texas Panhandle for November six loads of No. 1 Okie heifers to weigh 700 at $73, and for current delivery five loads of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 800 at $75.

USDA reports 1080 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for November delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 540 pounds at $93 delivered; for current delivery similar steers weighing 525 at $88, also 750 pounds at $77.50-78, and similar heifers weighing 500 at $80; medium and large 1-2 steers weighing 850 at $69.50.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 900 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 525-550 pounds brought $83 f.o.b.; similar heifers weighing 475-500 were $79 f.o.b. Oregon, 750 pounds $72 f.o.b. Oregon, and 850 pounds $68 f.o.b. Idaho.
