Lamb Prices Steady

GOLDTHWAITE —(Oct. 17)— Feeder lambs sold steady, slaughter ewes and bucks fully steady; stock Angora nannies and muttons $5 higher, slaughter classes $1 higher; stock Spanish nannies $3-5 lower, slaughter kids and yearlings $2-4 higher, other classes steady to $1 lower. Receipts totaled 4000 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 60-85 lbs. $85.50-97.50; choice and prime slaughter lambs 110-125 lbs. $80-89.50, good 2-3 slaughter ewes $48-53.50, utility 2-3 $40-43, cull $34-37, bucks $35-46; Barbado lambs 40-60 lbs. $65-77, ewes 65-75 lbs. $52-58.

Angora goats: good and choice babytooth to solidmouth stock nannies 40-60 lbs. $43.50-49.50, muttons 65-75 lbs. $43-46; slaughter muttons and billies 80-115 lbs. $42-44, fat nannies $40-41, kids 35-60 lbs. $62-67, thin nannies and muttons $32-38.

Spanish goats: stock nannies $38-48 per head; Boer cross nannies $70-85, kids and yearlings $50-75, billies $125-155 per head; slaughter goat kids 15-35 lbs. $69-78 cwt., 40-65 lbs. $70-79, nannies 75-135 lbs. $45-53, muttons 80-170 lbs. $56-71, billies 80-135 lbs. $58-69.
