Firm, Cattle Steady

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold firm this week, slaughter lambs poorly tested, slaughter ewes fully $5-10 lower. Receipts totaled 11,378 head.

Feeder steers and heifers were uneven but mostly steady last week, slaughter cows weak to $1 lower, bulls weak to $2 lower, stock cows and pairs weak. Receipts totaled 3982 head.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $97-103, 60-80 lbs. $96-100.50, few $102-103, 80-90 lbs. $91-94.50, 90-105 lbs. $86-92; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $84-97, 60-80 lbs. $85-96, 80-90 lbs. $81-91.

Slaughter lambs: choice and prime 2-3 few shorn 110-140 lbs. $80-85; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $28-35, few lots $38-48, utility and good 2-3 $38-48, utility 1-2 $29-39.50, cull and utility 1-2 $20-28; bucks, $31-41, set $44.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 solidmouth $66-68 per head.

Goats: slaughter billy and mutton meat goats 100-150 lbs. $60-110 per head, billies 150-225 lbs. $110-170, good and choice yearlings 60-100 lbs. $75-86 cwt., good $65-75, nannies 60-110 lbs. $47-58, thin 60-100 lbs. $40-47, good and choice kids 40-60 lbs. $80-90, few $94-97.50, good 40-60 lbs. $70-80; Angoras 30-45 lbs. $61-69, 45-60 lbs. $48.50-53, 60-95 lbs. $35-45.
