Three Bull Riders Sidelined;
Mortensen Leads All-Around

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Three PRCA bull riders headed for the $3.4 million National Finals Rodeo have been sidelined with broken bones.

Wayde Joyal, the current leader of the Crown Royal World Standings, is out with a broken leg; Mike White, second place in the world standings and the undisputed leader in the Resistol rookie of the year standings, has a broken hand; and Austin Beasley, currently 12th in the standings, is also out with a broken leg.

With the end of the regular season fast approaching, it appears that saddle bronc rider Dan Mortensen, Manhattan, Mont., has wrapped up first place in the all-around competition. Mortensen’s earnings to date total $153,086. He is followed by Cody Ohl, Orchard, Texas, with $113,414; Joe Beaver, Huntsville, Texas, $92,569; Chad Hagan, Leesville, La., $78,520; and Rope Myers, Van, Texas, $76,413.
