Prosser Martin of Del Rio recently bought 95 heifer
calves in the Llano area weighing 400 pounds at an
average price of $21.25 cwt., and a load of mixed calves
weighing around 350 pounds in the Brackettville area at
$17 to $20 to put in his feedlot at Del Rio.

Floyd Brown of Adrian, Texas, sold 700 good age cows
to Fred Bauer of Denver, Colorado, at 12 cents per pound;
these were delivered November 4.

Charlie Waller of Roswell has bought several thousand
old ewes recently at around $4.50 to $5.50 per head.
Included were 500 from Charlie Fuller of Picacho at five
cents per pound, 400 from Kim Yoder of Roswell at $4.75
per head, 250 from Wade Corn at $5 per head, and 200 from
Rhoda Harris of Roswell at $4 per head.

The exportation of bobcat pelts has been outlawed. The
ban was ordered by the Endangered Species Scientific
Authority, a federal agency. The agreement prohibits
export of all cat skins from the 82 participating
nations, simply because it is a cat.
