Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in the Texas Panhandle for December delivery three loads of No. 1½ Okie steers to weigh 700 pounds at $74.25, and for current delivery one load of choice English and exotic cross steers weighing 625 at $80; in Eastern Kansas for current delivery two loads of black and black baldface steers weighing 525 at $88; in North Texas for current delivery six loads of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 675 at $79.50.

Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in New Mexico for current delivery 575 choice steer calves weighing 525 pounds at $82, also 240 No. 1 steers weighing 625 at $78, 150 No. 1 Okie and crossbred steers weighing 675 at $76, and one load of No. 1 steers weighing 600 at $73.

USDA reports 1795 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for Feb. 15-28 delivery medium and large No. 1 heifers to weigh 725 pounds at $72.50-74.50; for current delivery similar steers weighing 750 at $76, also 850 pounds at $74; similar heifers weighing 725-775 at $71-73 and 825 pounds at $69; medium and large 1-2 steers weighing 800 at $72.50.

Direct cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 700 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 875-900 pounds brought $73 f.o.b. Idaho and 1000 pounds $70 f.o.b. Idaho; similar heifers weighing 900 pounds made $68.50 f.o.b. Idaho.

Montana reported 390 head of medium and large No. 1 feeder steers selling direct by USDA count. Weights of 600-625 pounds earned $84-86 and 750-800 pounds $74-76, all f.o.b. the weighing point for current delivery.
