G13 Angus Sale Avg.
$2030 On 106 Head

ELIDA, N.M. —(March 22)— The Greg Smith G13 Angus Ranch offered 106 head at auction, and averaged $2030 per head. Twenty-five two year-old bulls averaged $2366, five 18 month-old bulls averaged $2510, and 56 yearlings made $1889. Twenty heifers averaged $1883.

The top yearling bull sold to Angell Ranch, Lovington, N.M., for $3450. The next three high-selling bulls went to Watts Ranch, Carlsbad, N.M., at $3300 and two at $3000.

Dan and Peach Unrast, Pearce, Ariz., paid $3000 for the top 18 month-old bull and Means Ranch, Van Horn, Texas, paid $3000 for the top two year-old bull.

The top heifer was purchased by Byler Angus Farm, Bangs, Texas, for $5750. Vernon Wolf, Coahoma, Texas, bought two heifers for $2200 each.
