Roswell Wool Sale
Tops Out At $1.20

ROSWELL, N.M. — The two wool warehouses in Roswell and Artesia will handle around 1.5 million pounds of wool this week.

On Monday and Tuesday, Roswell Wool sold around 800,000 pounds. The bulk of 12-month wool brought 85 cents to $1.05, original bag offerings stopping round 95 cents and skirted and classed wools up to $1.05, with a small lot of extra fine, high yielding wool up to $1.20.

Wools were generally light with yields higher than in recent years.

Artesia Wool sold on Wednesday, and Roswell was to complete their sale Thursday.
