"The merits of performance testing are taking hold in many commercial cow-calf operations," said Sally Dolezal, Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension beef cattle breeding specialist and OBI executive secretary. "Each year, more and more cattle producers are using available performance information in conjunction with visual appraisals to make the most potentially profitable selection of herd sires."
