Sierra Club To Run
Campaign Attack Ads
WASHINGTON The Sierra Club announced last week
that it will target 25 U.S. House and Senate campaigns
for attack ads in the upcoming fall election.
To no ones surprise, Republicans make up the
vast bulk of the hit list, headed by Sens. Ben Nighthorse
Campbell, R-Colo., and Al DAmato, R-N.Y.
The activist group spent $6 million in the 1996
election.
