Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold to New Mexico buyers one load of No. 1½ grass heifers weighing 407 pounds at $78.44 delivered, also a load of similar heifers weighing 519 at $73.85; to local buyers seven loads of No. 1 and better steers weighing 975 at $74 f.o.b. the ranch near Abilene, also one load of fancy exotic steers weighing 750 at $72.75 f.o.b. Cross Plains, and 14 loads of No. 1 and better heifers weighing 700 at $70 f.o.b. Cross Plains; to an Oklahoma buyer two loads of No. 1 feeder heifers weighing 667 at $71.83 delivered; to a Kansas buyer a load of No. 1 and better feeder heifers weighing 685 at $71.68 delivered. The firm sold out of the Sweetwater area for July 1-15 delivery two loads of Mexican roping steers to weigh 750 pounds at $53 f.o.b. the ranch.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Central Texas for end of May through early June delivery eight loads of No. 1 crossbred steers to weigh 750 pounds at $75, also two loads of heifer mates to weigh 725 at $72; for delivery later this month in Eastern New Mexico 300 No. 1 English and exotic cross steers to weigh 700 at $78; in East Texas two loads of No. 1 English and exotic cross weaned steer calves weighing 560 at $91 and two loads of similar weaned heifer calves weighing the same at $81.

JB Cattle Co., Abilene, sold on a delivered basis to Oklahoma buyers one load of Okie and crossbred steers and bulls weighing 350 pounds at $97.56 and one load of Holstein steers weighing 450 at $63.61; to West Texas one load of No. 1½ crossbred steers and bulls weighing 400 at $87.93; to local grass two loads of No. 1-1½ crossbred steers weighing 475 at $82 f.o.b.

USDA reports 11,610 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for July through August delivery medium and large No. 1 steers to weigh 800-825 pounds at $75-77; for June through August similar heifers to weigh 725-750 at $71.50-72.50; for June steers to weigh 775-800 at $74-75; for current delivery steers weighing 750-775 pounds at $74-75.50 and 800-850 pounds at $71-75, mostly $72-74, plus 950 pounds at $64.50; similar heifers weighing 675-750 at $70-72.50.

Direct feeder cattle trade in Montana by USDA count totaled 1135 head. Several loads of medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 625 pounds brought $89.25 f.o.b.; similar heifers weighing 600-650 pounds were $79-83 and several loads weighing 800 pounds $72, all f.o.b.; one load of replacement quality heifers weighing 700 pounds brought $550 per head.
