Cattle Mostly Steady

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs were generally steady in a two-day sale this week, slaughter lambs $1-3 lower, slaughter ewes fully $4-5 lower, instances $6-10 lower. Receipts totaled 19,510 head.

Feeder steers and heifers sold steady last week, slaughter cows weak, bulls weak to $1 lower, stock cows and pairs weak to slightly lower. Receipts totaled 6701 head.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 50-60 lbs. $74-78, 60-90 lbs. $71.50-77.50, 90-95 lbs. $70-73; medium and large No. 2 40-90 lbs. $68-74; medium and large 1-2 oldcrop shorn 70-90 lbs. $62-65.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn 100-135 lbs. $60-65, new crop 90-110 lbs. $67-71; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $25-36.50, utility and good 2-3 $39-49, utility 1-3 $28-39, cull and utility 1-2 $20-30, bucks $30-37.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth $72-75.50 per head, solid mouth $64-71, ewes with lambs $41-43.50 each.

Goats: slaughter billy and wether meat goats 100-150 lbs. $55-100 per head, 150-180 lbs. $100-110; nannies 70-110 lbs. $42-51 cwt., few $51-59, thin 60-90 lbs. $35-45, few choice and prime kids and yearlings 35-65 lbs. $80-84, choice 35-80 lbs. $70-78, 100-130 lbs. $60-64, good 35-100 lbs. $60-70; choice Angoras 70-100 lbs. $38-46 cwt., good 70-100 lbs. $30-38.
