Daniel Green Proves He Can
Wrestle As Well As He Ropes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — To most rodeo fans, Daniel Green may best be known as a roper.

But as Green proved recently at the Clovis, Calif., rodeo, he can also hold his own as a steer wrestler. Green, a four-time National Finals Rodeo team roping qualifier from Valley Springs, Calif., won the steer wrestling event and for that pocketed $3339.

In his seventh year of professional competition, Green also performed well in the rodeo’s other timed events. All said, Green took home checks totaling $4293.

In the PRCA all-around competition, Stephenville, Texas cowboy Ty Murray continues to lead with $66,525 in total winnings. Murray is followed by Trevor Brazile, Decatur, Texas, with $40,268; Herbert Theriot, Poplarville, Miss., $34,966; Kurt Goulding, Duncan, Okla., $25,435; and Joe Beaver, Huntsville, Texas, $23,628.
