R.A. Brown Sale Topped
By $2550 Angus Female

THROCKMORTON —(May 2)— A registered Angus female topped R.A. Brown’s Cowman Sale at $2550 per head, going to Kirk Ross, Montgomery, Texas.

The high-selling registered Red Angus female sold to Eva Owen, Jacksboro, for $1450. Top registered Simmental went to Stagg Cattle Co., Mount Pleasant, Texas, at $1200, and Stagg Cattle also topped the registered Simbrah category at $1200. Simpson Vineyard and Cattle, Paso Robles, Calif., bought the top registered Senegus for $1300.

Sale averages included 31 registered Angus, $1231 each; seven registered Red Angus, $971; 85 commercial Simangus, $755; 23 commercial Angus cows, $665; 35 commercial Angus heifers, $588; 107 commercial ¾-Angus, $715; 41 registered Simmental, $652; eight registered Simbrah, $753; 14 registered Senegus, $729; 21 commercial heat tolerant pairs, $889; 144 commercial Hotlander, $632; and 10 commercial heat tolerant crossbreds, $581.
