Trend Steady To Lower

ABILENE —(May 12)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady except steers 500-600 pounds and heifers 600-700 pounds $1-2 lower, slaughter cows $1-2 lower, bulls steady, cows with calves steady. Receipts totaled 3046 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $106-116, 300-400 lbs. $96-106, 400-500 lbs. $87-97, few to $106, 500-600 lbs. $79-85, 600-700 lbs. $74-82, 700-800 lbs. $69.50-74, 800-900 lbs. $66.50-73.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $87-97, 300-400 lbs. $85-91, 400-500 lbs. $76-82, 500-600 lbs. $75-80, 600-700 lbs. $67-71.50, 700-800 lbs. $55-64.50, 800-900 lbs. $45-55.

Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $36-39, high dressing $39.50, cutter 1-3 $32-36, canner and low cutter $20-51.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1600-1900 lbs. $46.50-49.50.

Stock cows: young 1000-1250 lbs. 4-8 months bred, $390-490 per head; young 950-1350 lb. cows with 75-150 lb. calves $620-710 per pair, aged 950-1300 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $l530-610.
