Scott Webster of Amarillo has bought 100 two year-old
steers weighing 822 pounds at $20 from Roy Cluck of
Dimmitt.

Jack Morrison of Roswell, New Mexico last week bought
at Elida one load of steer yearlings weighing 461 pounds
at 20 cents a pound for shipment to Iowa buyers.

Lem Jones of Junction this week sold one load of two
year-old ewes with lambs at side at $17.50 a pair; these
will go on a Kimble County ranch.

Jackson, Moore and Neill of Eldorado and Sonora last
week sold 217 dry two year-old ewes at $17.50 per head
out of the wool. These ewes were wintered on the Clarence
Carroll ranch near San Saba.

have sold about 6000 heifer and steer calves expected to
weigh near 500 pounds for September delivery at $28 and
$30 to a Denver buyer.

A&J Ranch Co., Robert Lee, Texas, sold 1350 aged
ewes and 1700 mixed spring lambs at $13 per head for
delivery from now to June 15 to Dub Clark of San Angelo.

Tom Bell of Texas Livestock Marketing Assn., San
Antonio, bought 400 good quality fleshy yearling heifers
weighing 700 pounds off oat fields and received them at
$24 from Col. Bennett of Crystal City.

Carl Heimann of Alpine last week bought, on order for
Central Texas ranchers, 2000 whiteface mixed lambs from
Fred Barrett, Sanderson, for Aug. 15-Sept. 15 delivery at
$20 straight across.

At 10 major terminal markets last week a total of
11,635 feeder steers weighing over 500 pounds sold for an
average of $22.49; in the corresponding week last year
13,612 head sold for an average of $23.30.

Western Wool & Mohair Co., San Angelo, offered
402,000 pounds of wool, mostly 12-months, in a sealed bid
sale and growers rejected bids on only 22,000 pounds.
Prices ranged from 48 to 59 5/8 cents per pound, bulking
in the middle fifties.

W.A. Reinhart of Truth or Consequences, N.M., has
bought five range bulls, a herd bull and a herd bull
prospect from Charlton Polled Herefords (Gordon T.
Charlton), Mertzon, Texas.

Livestock Auction. Fat spring lambs sold strong and
active as well as old ewes and bucks. Fat spring lambs
brought $22.24, blackface spring feeders $17.19,
whitefaces $14-17.50, shorn feeder lambs $12-16, fat
shorn muttons $18-20.50, buck lambs $10-15.

black baldface heifer calves weighing 330 at $28

Texas preconditioning yard for June 1 delivery one load
of No. 1 Okie steers to weigh 525 pounds at $94, also a
load of No. 1½ heifers weighing 525 at $65. The firm
bought in Oklahoma for June 1 a load of No. 1 Okie steers
to weigh 700 at $84.50. They shipped out of Tennessee one
load of No. 1-plus heifers weighing 325 at $110 delivered
to Oklahoma.
