Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in the Texas Panhandle 270 No. 1-1½ crossbred steers weighing 800 pounds at $68, also 220 No. 1 heifers weighing 700 pounds at $68.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in the Texas Panhandle four loads of No. 1-1½ Okie steers weighing 750 pounds at $73, also three loads of choice black steers weighing 825 at $73.

Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold to a Kansas buyer one load of No. 1 and better black, black baldface and red baldface steers and bulls weighing 419 pounds at $90.50 f.o.b.. The firm sold on a delivered basis to a local buyer one load of Okie and crossbred heifers weighing 428 at $75.75; to a West Texas feedyard one load of No. 1 and better Okie and crossbred steers and bulls weighing 585 at $74.12, also a load of heifer mates weighing 560 at $70.03.

USDA reports 9290 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivery medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 675 pounds at $76, also 700-775 pounds at $73-75, 800-875 pounds at $70-72.50, and 900 pounds at $67.50-68.50; similar heifers weighing 700-725 pounds at $68.50-70 and 800 pounds at $68.50.

Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by USDA totaled 500 head of medium and large No. 1 feeder heifers weighing 800-825 pounds at $68 f.o.b. Washington.

Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to only 135 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 850 pounds made $71 and similar heifers weighing 800 pounds $69, all f.o.b. prices for current delivery.
