ABILENE —(May 26)— Feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady with 600-800 pound heifers $2 higher, slaughter cows $1 higher, bulls $2-3 higher, cows with calves $30 higher. Receipts totaled 2310 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $98-108, 300-400 lbs. $92-101, 400-500 lbs. $84-94, 500-600 lbs. $73-82.50, 600-700 lbs. $70-78, 700-800 lbs. $67-71.50, 800-900 lbs. $65-69.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $90-100, 300-400 lbs. $70-80, 400-500 lbs. $72-78, 500-600 lbs. $73-78, 600-700 lbs. $65-72.50, 700-800 lbs. $65.50-68.50.

Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $36-39, high dressing $39.50-40.50, cutter 1-3 $32-35.50, canner and low cutter $19-31.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1450-1850 lbs. $48-55, low yielding 1450-1900 lbs. $40-47.

Stock cows: young 800-1150 lbs. eight months bred $430-460 per head, aged 950-1050 lbs. eight months bred $370-420; young 900-1350 lb. cows with 75-200 lb. calves $600-680 per pair, aged 1000-1250 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $520-580.
