Haskell Ranch Rodeo
Set For June 5-7

HASKELL, Texas — Wild Horse Prairie Days, billed as "a celebration of the legendary Texas working cowboy," is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, June 5-7, at the Haskell Rodeo Arena here.

Features include a two-night ranch rodeo, a chuckwagon cookoff, team roping, open calf roping, two dances, a childrens’ rodeo, cowboy poetry, and a cowboy church service.

Contestants in the ranch rodeo, to begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, will represent 20 working ranches, including the Bar S (Springer) Ranch, Aspermont; Bar S (Stewart) Ranch, Munday; Beggs Ranch, Girard; Brown and Bellah Ranch, Throckmorton; R.A. Brown Ranch, Throckmorton; Clark Cattle Co., Breckenridge; Flat Top 8 Ranch; Haskell; 6666 Ranch, Guthrie; Guitar Ranch, Abilene; Lyles Ranch, Benjamin; Masterson JY Ranch, Guthrie; Moorhouse Ranch Co., Benjamin; Nail Ranch, Albany; Pitchfork Land and Cattle Co., Guthrie; Spikebox Ranch, Benjamin; Swenson Ranch, Stamford; Thompson Ranch, Munday; Throckmorton Land and Cattle Co., Throckmorton; Triangle Ranch, Paducah; and the Waggoner Ranch, Electra.
