Okie steers to weigh 750 pounds at $74; in Oklahoma for
current delivery six loads of similar steers weighing 750
at $73.
Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in North Texas for
July delivery 520 No. 1-1½ Okie steers to weigh 700
pounds at $70; in the Texas Panhandle for current
delivery 75 similar steers weighing 675 at $75, also 150
such heifers weighing 700 at $67; in Oklahoma for current
delivery 70 similar steers weighing 750 at $73 and 220
head weighing 775 at $71.
Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold to a Kansas buyer one
load of No. 1 and better Okie steers and bulls weighing
425 pounds at $91.75 f.o.b.; to a local buyer 120 No. 1
and better Okie and crossbred heifers to go on grass
weighing 432 at $74.50 f.o.b.; and to an Oklahoma buyer
one load of No.1 feeder heifers weighing 575 at $73.50
delivered.
USDA reports 4885 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivery
medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 750-775 pounds at
$71.50-73, also 800-825 pounds at $70-71, 835-875 pounds
at $67-69, and 950 pounds at $65; similar heifers
weighing 725 at $70, 750-775 pounds at $66-68.50 and
800-885 pounds at $63-65.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as
confirmed by USDA totaled 300 head. Medium and large No.
1 fall steers weighing 625 pounds brought $78 delivered
in Idaho, 825 pounders $68 f.o.b. Idaho.
Montana direct feeder cattle trade reported by USDA
totaled 255 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
850-875 pounds made $71-72 f.o.b.; similar heifers
weighing 800 were $68.50 f.o.b.
