ABILENE —(June 2)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-3 lower except 300-500 pound heifers $1-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1-3 lower, stock cows mostly steady, pairs trending lower. Receipts totaled 1897 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $85-92.50, 400-500 lbs. $78-88, 500-600 lbs. $78-82, 600-700 lbs. $68-74.50, 700-800 lbs. $66-70, 800-900 lbs. $64-67.50.

Heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $75-83, 400-500 lbs. $74-79, 500-600 lbs. $70-76, 600-700 lbs. $65.50-70-50, 700-800 lbs. $63-67.50.

Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $34-37.50, high dressing $38.50, cutter 1-3 $30-33.50, canner and low cutter $15-29.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1600-1850 lbs. $47-51, low yielding 1250-1800 lbs. $42-46.

Stock cows: young 750-1450 lbs. 7-8 months bred $400-505 per head, aged 1300-1500 lbs. 7-8 months bred $375-520; young 1100-1300 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $550-620 per pair, aged 950-1250 lb. cows with 100-250 lb. calves $450-525.
