Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in the Texas Panhandle for current delivery 75 No. 1½ Okie steers weighing 675 pounds at $75, also 140 No. 1 Okie steers weighing 725 at $74 and 140 No. 1-1½ Okie steers weighing 800 at $70; in Oklahoma 200 No. 1-1½ Okie steers weighing 775 at $71.

JB Cattle Co., Abilene, sold on a delivered basis to Oklahoma buyers one load of Okie and quarter-eared steers and bulls weighing 440 pounds at $81.93, also one load of No. 1 Okie steers weighing 575 at $76.13; to Kansas buyers one load of No. 1 heifers weighing 712 at $71.36 and a load of Okie cows with 250 pound calves at $560 per pair; to a West Texas feedyard one load of No. 1½ Okie and crossbred steers and bulls weighing 530 at $69.85 and a load of No. 1½ Okie steers and bulls weighing 713 at $62.40.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Oklahoma four loads of No. 1 crossbred heifers weighing 730 pounds at $68.50 and three loads of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 850 at $67.

Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold on a delivered basis to Kansas buyers a short load of black, black whiteface and red whiteface steers weighing 506 pounds at $79.97, also one load of No. 1, mostly black and black whiteface feeder heifers weighing 695 at $66.63; to an Oklahoma buyer two loads of No. 1 feeder heifers weighing 565 at $71.03; to a Kansas buyer a short load of feeder heifers weighing 932 at $53.80. The firm bought in the Gillespie County area a short load of Hereford first and second-calf cows at $534 per head delivered to Clyde, and in the local area on contract to a Kansas buyer 100 corriente roping steers weighing 765 at $53 f.o.b.

USDA reports 4190 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivery medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 700-790 pounds at $70-74 and 800-850 pounds at $67.50-71.50; similar heifers weighing 675 pounds at $70 and 700-750 pounds at $67-68.50.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 200 head of medium and large No. 1 yearling feeder steers weighing 875 pounds at $68.50 delivered in Idaho.
