Lem Jones of Junction sold a carload of straight four
year-old ewes leading crossbred blackface lambs weighing
around 50 pounds to Virginia buyers at $19 a pair.

Aubrey Grouskay of Phoenix sold, to Bill Munch of
Phoenix, about 120 light crossbred Brahman calves topped
out of 300 head at 17 cents per pound.

Owen Parks of San Saba has contracted from Buford
Mays, also of San Saba, 200 mixed Angus calves for
delivery August 1 at 18 cents a pound straight across.
Parks said the calves are expected to be fat when cut off
their mothers for delivery.

Guy Birdwell of Snyder sold 100 steer yearlings about
two weeks ago to a Mr. Williams of Philip, South Dakota,
at 19 cents per pound; they averaged 570 pounds.

Dink Johnson, Mertzon rancher, delivered an amazingly
big lamb crop last year, and now he's done it again. He
sold and delivered 900 lambs averaging 80 pounds (450
head went as fats) off 600 ewes to Mid-West Feed Yards,
San Angelo.

Eldon Vance of Panhandle sold three loads of heifer
yearlings for June 20-July 1 delivery to an Amarillo
buyer at $25.50 through Ab Wright, Amarillo; these are
expected to average near 650 pounds.

Elton Green and J.D. Hance of Clovis, N.M., recently
sold and delivered, to a Fort Sumner buyer, 125 cows and
calves at $250 per pair; the cows were three to sixes,
described as weighing about 1100 pounds.

The Bank of Belle Fourche, S.D. reports 35,000 pounds
of wool sold there in odd lots recently at 38 cents and
32,000 at 40 cents; also 2000 fleeces at 40 cents.
