delivery 560 similar steers weighing 725 at $75.50, also
140 No. 1 Okie and crossbred steers weighing 750 at $73;
in West Texas for current delivery 220 No. 1 crossbred
heifers weighing 675 at $68.
Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold on a delivered basis to
a West Texas growing yard one load of No. 1 Okie and
crossbred steer and bull calves weighing 373 pounds at
$85; to Oklahoma buyers one load of Okie and crossbred
feeder steers and bulls weighing 583 pounds at $74.54,
also a load of Okie and crossbred feeder heifers weighing
575 at $70.50; to Kansas buyers one load of No. 1 feeder
heifers weighing 703 at $68.93 and a load of No. 1
cutting bulls and a few steers weighing 707 at $67.96.
USDA reports 3970 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivery
medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 800 pounds at
$73.50 and 875-935 pounds at $67.25-70; similar heifers
weighing 700-750 at $67-68.50 and 800 pounds at $65;
large No. 2 Holstein steers weighing 750 at $54.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as
confirmed by USDA totaled 3150 head. Medium and large No.
1 steers weighing 825-875 pounds brought $71-72 delivered
in Washington and Idaho, 900 pounds $69-71 delivered in
Idaho and 950 pounds $67-68 delivered in Washington;
similar heifers weighing 800-830 pounds were $67-70
delivered in Washington and Idaho.
Montana direct feeder cattle sales reported by USDA
totaled 830 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
850-900 pounds made $69-71, 900-925 pounds $68-70, a
string of 925 pounders $72 for July delivery; similar
heifers weighing 700 were $69.50, one load at 800 pounds
$66.
