ABILENE —(June 16)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-3 higher, slaughter cows $2-3 higher, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1387 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $85-95, 400-500 lbs. $80-89, 500-600 lbs. $71-80, 600-700 lbs. $70-77, 700-800 lbs. $65-71, 800-900 lbs. $62-67.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $76-85, 400-500 lbs. $71-81, 500-600 lbs. $68-75, 600-700 lbs. $68-72, 700-800 lbs. $64.50-69.

Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $36-40, high dressing $40.50-42, cutter 1-3 $31-35.50, canner and low cutter $25-30.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-1600 lbs. $46-51.50.

Stock cows: young 1150-1550 lbs. 4-7 months bred $410-500 per head; young 1000-1250 lb. cows with 75-200 lb. calves $540-610 per pair, aged 1000-1200 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $410-530.
